HabiStays Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Jacquelyn Weitz, doing business as HabiStays (“HabiStays,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) (“HabiStays”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the HabiStays Platform. Effective September 25, 2026.
1. Information collected
Account and profile
Name, email, telephone, profile or avatar image, and authentication or account-role information.
Host and business
Host or business display information, listings and properties, and Stripe connected-account status fields mirrored in HabiStays.
Reservation and guest
Guest identity and contact information, reservation dates, listing, pricing, payment schedule or status, reservation status, and relevant notes.
Payment metadata
Amounts, payment types, transaction identifiers, statuses, refunds, and coverage periods.
HabiStays uses Stripe for payment processing and connected-account onboarding. Stripe may collect card, banking, taxpayer, identity, and compliance information directly where required. HabiStays generally does not need to store full payment-card numbers or identity documents collected directly by Stripe.
2. Automatically collected information
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect browser, device, and operating-system information; IP or network information; page-usage and referral data; and analytics or performance data. Production currently uses Vercel Analytics for product and performance insights.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, listings, reservations, payments, and payouts; send transactional emails; provide customer support; protect security and prevent fraud; meet legal obligations; and improve the product.
5. Service providers
Current providers can include Stripe (payments and Connect), Supabase (application data and authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Resend (transactional email). Providers may change as the Platform evolves.
6. Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary for legal process, fraud prevention, safety, or enforcement of our terms.
7. Business transfer
If HabiStays is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
8. Retention
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the service, keep transaction and accounting records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, support fraud and security programs, and enforce our terms.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Children
HabiStays accounts and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly invite children under 18 to create accounts.
11. Privacy requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where applicable by emailing support@habistays.com. Some records may need to remain for legal, transaction, or security reasons.
12. Advertising, sale, and sharing
HabiStays does not currently sell personal information for money and does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Production does not currently load Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, or similar advertising remarketing scripts.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the effective date and version label on this page.
