HabiStays Host Terms

Unless HabiStays states otherwise before a transaction, the service fee applies to reservation-related payments processed through HabiStays, including stay payments, deposits, and additional or incidental payments.

Payment processing is provided through Stripe. Stripe may separately charge processing, payout, dispute, refund, currency-conversion, or other fees applicable to your connected Stripe account. Stripe fees are separate from HabiStays’ 10% service fee. Your final net payout may therefore be less than 90% of the guest payment.

Future HabiStays fee changes are prospective. Material changes will be disclosed. HabiStays does not retroactively rewrite completed transactions to apply a new fee rate.

Hosts may need to create and maintain a connected Stripe account and satisfy Stripe’s identity, business, banking, and tax requirements. Stripe determines its verification requirements.

You represent that you have authority to offer the accommodation. You are responsible for compliance including, where applicable, zoning, licensing, registration, rental restrictions, landlord-tenant rules, occupancy, tax, safety, accessibility, and nondiscrimination requirements. HabiStays does not certify that a particular property or rental arrangement complies with local law.

You must accurately describe the accommodation, room or unit type, shared areas, location, amenities, pricing, deposits, availability, rules, and material limitations.

You should honor confirmed reservation terms subject to agreed changes, applicable cancellation terms, and applicable law.

When you request an additional payment, you must provide a truthful, understandable reason. The additional-payment tool may not be used to disguise a mandatory booking charge that should have been included or disclosed as part of the guest’s booking price.

Payments can be refunded, disputed, or charged back. Stripe and payment-network rules may affect connected-account balances.

Hosts are responsible for property safety. HabiStays does not currently represent that use of the Platform includes host property insurance, liability insurance, or damage-protection coverage.

You remain responsible for tax obligations unless HabiStays expressly states that it collects or remits a particular tax.

HabiStays may limit or suspend host functionality reasonably for fraud, payment risk, unlawful listing, a serious safety issue, serious or repeated violations, or Stripe restrictions.

The host—not HabiStays—is responsible for providing the physical accommodation and handling the physical stay.
